Jack Koraleski is a native of Omaha who joined Union Pacific in June, 1972. He has held a variety of positions during his 23-year career with the railroad.

Jack was promoted in September, 1991, to his current position of Executive Vice President-Finance and Information Technologies. As the CFO of UPRR, Jack is responsible for the financial planning and management functions for the Railroad's 23-state system.

Jack is also responsible for planning and managing the on-going operations of the Company's extensive computer information and telecommunications network as well as the Contracts and Real Estate Department.

He is Chairman of the Board of Automated Monitoring and Controls, International (AMCI), which is a UP joint venture with Tandem Computers and Alcatel of Canada. In addition to chairing the Railroad's Managing Diversity Task Force, Jack is an executive sponsor to the UP Women's Network. Recently elected to the Board of Directors of Bridges Investment Fund, Jack is also a member of the National Advisory Committee for the College of Business Administration at the UNO.

He serves on the Board of Nebraska Methodist Hospital, and is also a Board member and a member of the Executive Committee of the Nebraska Methodist Hospital Foundation. An advocate of the work of the YWCA, Jack has sponsored the Union Pacific YWCA campaign drive for the last six years.

Jack received a Bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1972, and also received a Master's degree in business administration in 1981.

Jack and his wife Stephanie, who is nearing the completion of her Ph.D. program in Psychology, have four children ranging in age from 17 years to 17 months. When he's not railroading, Jack enjoys music, gardening, and pets. The Koraleski zoo includes dogs and birds, as well as a variety of chinchillas, lizards, and snakes-mostly pythons.
